![]() T.Raumschmiere (aka Marco Haas) returns with a brand new single release, Sick Like Me (novamute) on 6th June 2005. The new single, the first to be taken from the eagerly awaited forthcoming album, Blitzkrieg Pop (out in August this year) is available on CD, 7` and 12` with 2 remixes from Motor and a new track `All Systems Go! Since he was a child, the rock virus has always been present in Marco Haas previously as drummer of several punk, hardcore and desert rock bands - and this viral infection now manifests itself fully in his electronic alter-ego T.Raumschmiere. Subsequently he gathers all his gob together for this punkoid shout track Sick Like Me and we get to hear the tattooed ego-shooter actually sing for the first time on record. The track is a perfect combination of electronics and rock `n` roll, encapsulating the raw energy rush of both genres. Sick Like Me carries enough weight for two remixes. Both come from novamute label mates Motor who comprise Mr. Nô and Bryan Black. Mr. Nô created his version in London, adding a see-sawing rave swing that hangs sweet and low thanks to a tempo that is both cool and relaxed. Bryan Black worked his version in Tokyo and seems to be particularly interested in what`s going on underneath the bottom line, since he uses a flickering electro bed as if taken from a picture book of wiring schemes. Bryan Black originates from Minneapolis, where he also worked for Prince. Mr. Nô is a Frenchman and a world-class-drummer, they say. Bonus track All Systems Go! recalls the vintage synth-shuffle style that T.Raumschmiere can justifiably call his own. T.Raumschmiere precedes the single with two dates, bringing his full live band to the UK for the first time for a show at Fabric on Saturday 28th May and a show at the Garage on Sunday 29th May. |
